Elephant Tramples Forest Staffer To Death In Odisha's Angul

Angul, Jun 25: A forest staffer was trampled to death by a wild elephant at Katada village under Jarapada forest range in Angul district.
The deceased has been identified as Jugala Nayak.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the officials of the forest department were driving away the elephant herd from Danga Sahi area of Katada village back into the forest.
During this operation, a tusker from the group suddenly attacked and fatally crushed Nayak.
Following the incident, senior forest officials and local police rushed to the scene and took stock of the situation.
