Mayurbhanj, Dec 26: Villages in the Karanjia forest subdivision in Mayurbanj district continue to be in the grip of elephant menace for the last couple of days.


According to the information, As many as 36 elephants are moving in villages. People in about 100 villagers are spending sleepless nights.


The pachyderms damaged three houses in Paudia village under Karanjia forest range last night.
