Kamakhyanagar, Aug 26: In a bizzare incident in Kamagara village under Kamakhyanagar in Dhenkanal district, a wild tusker was spotted trapped in the swirling waters of the Brahmani River.

According to reports, the elephant, separated from its herd, was caught in the river’s strong current.

On being informed, the forest officials reached the spot and is reportedly monitoring the situation closely.

The incident highlights the growing challenges of human-wildlife interaction during monsoon season, when swollen rivers pose serious risks to migrating animals.
