Bhadrak, May 26: At least seven cattle charred to death after a fire broke out late at night in Goladia Slum under Chandbali NAC in Bhadrak district.

According to reports, the fire broke out at a cowshed of one Sheikh Isupali. On alert, the villagers rushed to the spot and despite the attempts, they were unable to contain the flames.

The Chandbali fire brigade also reached the scene but by the time, the cowshed and the cattle had already been completely consumed by the fire. The estimated loss due to this incident is believed to be over Rs 2 lakh.
