Bhubaneswar, May 21: BJP's Lok Sabha candidate from Meerut and 'Ramayan' fame Arun Govil will arrive in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday to campaign for saffron party candidates for the ongoing elections to Lok Sabha and State Assembly in Odisha.

According to party sources, Arun Govil is scheduled to attend a series of public meetings in different parts of Odisha on May 22.

"Veteran actor and our senior leader Arun Govil will hold election campaigns in Champua, Telkoi, Dhenkanal and Jaydev in Bhubaneswar tomorrow," said BJP State vice president Golak Mohapatra.

Arun Govil played Lord Ram in the iconic Ramayan TV show, created, written and directed by Ramanand Sagar, and telecast in 1987 on the public TV channel DD National.

The assembly and Lok Sabha polls in Odisha are being held across four phases--from May 13 to June 1.

Polling for the first phase was conducted in 28 Assembly seats and four Lok Sabha constituencies on May 13, while the voting for five Lok Sabha constituencies and 35 Assembly segments for the second phase of polls was held on May 20.

The remaining phases of the polls will be held on May 25 and June 1. The results will be out on June 4.
