The deceased has been identified as Lachhaman Harijan (64), a resident of Doraguda village under Kundra police station limits in the district.
As per reports, Lachhaman was returning to his village from nearby Mundiguda village last evening when three wild bears attacked him.
The locals rescued the elderly man in a critical condition and rushed him to the Community Health Centre in Kundra. However, the man succumbed to injuries at the hospital.

✨After getting information, local Forest officials and police personnel reached the spot and started investigation separately into the matter.
Forester Sushant Kumar Badjena said that final assistance will be provided to the kin of the deceased, based on the medical report after the autopsy.
The incident triggered fear among the locals, the villagers said.
