Angul, Aug 6: In a tragic mishap, an elderly man died after being hit by an unknown vehicle while plucking flowers near Karadagadiya Chhak under Sadar Police station limits in Angul district, Tuesday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Kashinath Tung of Kardagadia village.
According to the information, Kashinath was returning home on his bicycle after plucking flowers when an unknown vehicle hit him and he died on the spot.

Tension prevailed in the area after the demise of elederly man.The locals have staged protests demanding compensation for the loss of life. As a result, a large number of vehicles were stuck on both sides of the road.
