Bhubaneswar, Dec 12: Odisha’s cultural landscape will come alive this Sunday as Ekamra Walks hosts two immersive experiences celebrating the state’s rich literary and artistic heritage. The day-long programme will feature the Odia Literary Trail in the morning and the Odia Film Panorama in the evening, officials said on Friday.

Literary Trail with storytelling and dance

The Odia Literary Trail, scheduled at 11:30 a.m., will present a storytelling session based on the celebrated Odia short story “Swapnabhanga.” Designed in an interactive format, the session allows participants to engage with literature without prior reading, creating an inclusive and engaging atmosphere.

Adding to the experience, the trail will highlight the traditional Dhap dance, a rhythmic art form rooted in the Kandha community. Known for its powerful beats and cultural resonance, Dhap has long served as a medium of storytelling through movement and music. Together, the spoken narrative and dance performance promise to offer audiences a vibrant glimpse into Odisha’s cultural traditions.
