Bhubaneswar / Ekamra Walks To Resume October 17 With Special Dussehra, UMI Trails

Bhubaneswar, Oct 16: The 10th edition of Ekamra Walks, organised by the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), will begin on October 17, with special morning trails planned for Dussehra, a source said on Friday.

The special Dussehra walks will run from October 17 to 22. Separate trails will also be organised for delegates attending the Urban Mobility India (UMI) conference, scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar from October 23 to 25.

The special trails for UMI delegates will include temple visits, nature walks, shopping for handloom and handicraft products, light-and-sound shows at Dhauli and Udayagiri, and a night-time jungle safari.

The programme this season will feature trails such as ‘Living Temple City Trail’, ‘Story of a Planned Capital’, ‘Odia Literary Trail and Lost Games’, ‘Bhubaneswar by Night’ and the popular ‘Sunday District Signature Food Trail’.

The walks will offer participants an opportunity to explore Bhubaneswar’s heritage, architecture, Odia culture, traditional cuisine and natural surroundings.

Regular Ekamra Walks programmes for the season will run from November 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027. Details of schedules, tickets and bookings will be available on the official website, www.ekamra-walks.com
