Khordha, Jul 14: Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi has announced the construction of a permanent Kendriya Vidyalaya campus in the city, a long-standing demand of local residents.
The school will be built on 5 acres of land with an investment of ₹30 crore. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan laid the foundation stone for the project on Monday.
The new campus will accommodate around 800 students and will be open to children of ITBP officers, security personnel, and the general public. Sarangi expressed gratitude to Minister Pradhan for fulfilling the long-pending demand and emphasized the importance of quality education for all.
In addition to the school project, the Sarangi revealed that the ambitious 111-km Ring Road project from Rameswar in Khordha to Tangi in Cuttack will begin soon. The project, estimated at ₹6,000 crore, aims to improve connectivity and ease traffic congestion in the region.
