Bhubaneswar, June 22: In anticipation of large numbers of devotees coming to witness the world-famous Rath Yatra festival in Puri on June 27, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced to run 365 special trains from different parts of the country to ensure smooth and comfortable journeys for pilgrims and visitors.
This marks a significant increase from the 315 special trains operated during the 2024 festival.
These special trains will operate in addition to regular services and will connect Puri with various towns and cities across Odisha and neighboring states, including Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and West Bengal. Key originating stations include Rourkela, Biramitrapur, Bangiriposi, Junagarh Road, Badampahar, Boudh, Jagdalpur, Baleswar, Angul, Gunupur, Rayagada, Paradeep, Bhadrak, Kendujhar, Daspalla, Khurda Road, Sambalpur, Talcher, Cuttack, Brahmapur, Dhenkanal, Barbil, Palasa, Visakhapatnam, Gondia, and Santragachi.
