Sudarshan Pattnaik Spreads Awareness Through Sand Art
Marking the occasion, renowned international sand artist and Padma Shri awardee Sudarshan Pattnaik created a striking sand sculpture on Puri beach to raise awareness.
Through his artwork, he conveyed the message “Switch Off – Give an Hour for Earth”, urging people to conserve electricity and contribute to a sustainable future.
The sand art features creatively designed light bulbs, symbolising energy use and the importance of mindful consumption.

Pattnaik appealed to people across the world to switch off all unnecessary electrical appliances during the hour-long observance.
