Puri, Jun 18: The administration of Shree Jagannath Temple is set to establish an E-Hundi (digital donation system) to facilitate online contributions.

The system will be linked with Axis Bank to ensure seamless transactions for devotees wishing to donate digitally.

As part of the process, the temple administration had earlier written to the legal department, seeking approval for the initiative.

A letter dated June 14, reference number 9176, highlighted the plan for implementing the E-Hundi system. In response, the legal department acknowledged the proposal and recorded the details.

The state government’s chief secretary has confirmed that correspondence regarding the linking of Axis Bank with the E-Hundi platform has been officially documented. This move is expected to streamline the donation process and provide convenience to devotees.
