The Dussehra Bhashani Utsav (Dussehra Immersion Festival) will be alcohol and DJ-free this year, said the State government on Sunday.
"The use of DJs that produce high decibel sound and causes health problems will be fully restricted this year," said Commissionerate Police.
Police Commissionerate Sanjeeb Panda also warned that stringent action would be taken if Puja Pendals use DJs while immersing goddess idols.

✨The Police Commissioner, however, said the Puja Pendals can use six sound boxes with a sound limit of up to 65 decibels.
The CP also said that action would be taken against those who would collect puja fees from people forcefully. "FIR will be lodged and the errant will be sent to jail," said Panda.
While puja committees have sounght permission from the police to conduct cultural programmes till 12 midnight, Panda said a decision in this regard would be taken soon.
Panda stated all these after attending a peace committee meeting of the Cuttack east zone today.
