Drug Smuggling Crackdown: Three Jawans Apprehended In Boudh

Boudh, Mar 25: Manamunda police have apprehended three jawans involved in smuggling ganja following a significant operation that uncovered 15 kilograms of the illegal substance.

According to reports, the raid took place under the jurisdiction of the Manamunda police station.

Boudh Superintendent of Police (SP), Rahul Goel, confirmed the arrests and highlighted the efforts made by the police in cracking down on drug-related activities in the region. The operation was part of an ongoing initiative to curb illicit trafficking and ensure the safety of the community.

Local authorities are continuing investigations into the case to identify other individuals potentially involved in the smuggling operation.

In yet another incident, Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch cracked down on an attempted ganja smuggling operation with the arrest of two smugglers.

Acting on intelligence, the STF intercepted two smugglers transporting ganja from Boudh district to Uttar Pradesh.

The suspects, identified as Akash Kushwaha and Dilip from Uttar Pradesh, tried to evade arrest by jumping off the Khari Bridge. However, they were apprehended and taken into police custody for further interrogation.

Reportedly, a case has been registered and further investigation into the matter is underway.
