Bhadrak, Dec 27: In a tragic incident, Truck driver died in a road accident near Basudevpur Dhamra road in Bhadrak district on Wednesday morning.

The mishap occurred near Chudamani temple when the truck suffered a flat tyre. The driver stopped the vehicle alongside the road to change the tyre. 

According to reports, the iron ore-laden truck was going from Keonjhar to Dhamra port and was parked beside the road for repairs. Suddenly, another truck carrying stone chips lost balance and rammed the rear end of the parked truck. 

Driver who was changing the rear wheel of the iron ore-laden truck was crushed to death in the collision. The driver of the another truck who had stopped to help him also suffered injuries in the mishap.

The Police have reached the spot and launched a probe.
