According to the case, the ghastly crime had been committed in 2017 in Ramudi village under the Tureikela police station limits. A newlywed woman, Anita Sahu, was killed by her husband and parents-in-law after she failed to meet their dowry demand. A complaint had been filed at the Tureikela police station in this regard.
The accused husband Nrupa Sahu, father-in-law Jibardhan Sahu, and father-in-law Moti Sahu were convicted in the killing case based on witnesses and evidence.
