Malkangiri, Jun 2: Dr Amlan Kumar Bhoi, a medical practitioner at the Community Health Centre (CHC), Kalimal in Malkangiri district, has reportedly been missing since yesterday.

Acting on a complaint lodged by the health department this morning, the Kalimela police went to the doctor's official residence and conducted an investigation.  

The police reportedly found an old mobile phone and a Maoist poster in the doctor's residence. 

According to the Malkangiri SP, the poster mentioned a protest against vacancies in doctor posts and the unavailability of proper health services at the CHC. 

While some locals suspect that the doctor might be kidnapped, some others smell foul play behind his missing.
