Cuttack, July 29: Police arrested a doctor on the charge of stealing a car from the Mangalabag area in Cuttack City a month back. 

The arrested doctor has been identified as Dr Abinash Satpathy. 

According to the information, Dr Satpathy reportedly took a car from its owner on a monthly rent basis when he was doing his internship at the SCB Medical College and Hospital. But after a few days, he was incommunicado, making the car owner suspect his car had been stolen.  

Failing to trace Dr Satpathy, the vehicle owner lodged a complaint at the Mangalabag police station.

Sources said the police could locate Dr Satpathy in a private hospital in Bhubaneswar after a long search. The doctor has another cheating case against him at the Badagada police station, said police.
