Bhubaneswar/Dhenkanal, Feb 11: The world famous ‘Mahima Joranda Mela’, also known as ‘Joranda Magha Mela’, kickstarts Tuesday at Joranda in Dhenkanal district. The two-day event will conclude Wednesday.

Saints and devotees from across the country have gathered to witness the religious event at Mahima Gadi in Dhenkanal.

The Shunya Temple will be illuminated for two days. Devotees will pray to Shunya for the welfare of the world.

Thousands of devotees are expected to attend the celebrations. Police have been deployed in large numbers to maintain peace and order.
