Dharmendra Pradhan Visits Puri Shreemandir, Pays Tribute to Dhauli’s Glorious Past

Bhubaneswar/Puri, Sep 29: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited the historic Dhauli hills in Bhubaneswar, accompanied by Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, Ekamra MLA Babu Singh, Pipili MLA Ashrit Patnaik, and several other dignitaries.

 

During the visit, Pradhan reflected on Dhauli’s deep historical significance, recalling the Kalinga War fought in 261 BCE. He highlighted how the people of Kalinga, nearly 2300 years ago, fought valiantly without fear of defeat. “Dhauli is the land of Odisha’s identity, pride, and transformation,” he said, adding that the development of Dhauli is integral to building a new Odisha.

 

Pradhan emphasized that Odisha’s cultural resurgence is key to India’s overall progress. “Only when Odisha rises, India will truly develop,” he stated. He called for greater promotion of Odisha’s rich history, culture, and traditions to strengthen the nation’s journey toward prosperity.

Earlier in the day, the Union Minister visited the Shree Jagannath Temple and offered prayers during Saptami Puja. He expressed deep emotion while receiving darshan of Maa Vimala, Kashi Vishwanath, Lord Ganesh, and Hanuman at the northern gate shrine. “I feel blessed to have received darshan on this sacred day,” he said.

 

Pradhan also shared his prayers for strengthening humanity and empowering the nation. “I prayed for a stronger India and a more powerful Prime Minister,” he remarked. He concluded by expressing his heartfelt wish for Odisha’s continued development and cultural revival.
