Koraput, Jul 5: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is set to lay the foundation stone for a series of transformative infrastructure projects worth Rs 479.92 crore at the Central University of Odisha (CUO) in Sunabeda, Koraput.
The initiative aims to elevate the university’s academic and residential facilities, aligning with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The minister will inaugurate several newly completed facilities, including- a modern academic building, a fully equipped Health Centre, the vice-chancellor’s residence, officers’ and staff quarters.
A key highlight of the event will be the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) among six premier centrally funded higher education institutions in Odisha.
This collaboration is designed to foster multidisciplinary research, faculty and student exchange, and joint resource sharing, while also promoting tribal empowerment, digital education, and entrepreneurship.
The event will be attended by several dignitaries, including state ministers, MPs, and senior officials from the Ministry of Education and UGC, marking a significant milestone in Odisha’s higher education landscape.
