Viksit Odisha / Dharmendra Pradhan To Attend DISHA, RPDAC Meetings In Sambalpur Today

Sambalpur, Sep 8: Sambalpur MP and former Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is on the fourth day of his visit to Sambalpur and is scheduled to review the progress of several development projects in the district on Tuesday.

Pradhan is scheduled to attend the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting at the Sambalpur District Council conference hall. The meeting is expected to review the progress of various development works being undertaken in the district.

Sambalpur MLA Jayanarayan Mishra, Rengali MLA Sudarshan Haripal and other elected representatives, along with Zilla Parishad members and senior district administration officials, are scheduled to participate in the meeting.

RPDAC Meeting In Afternoon
Later in the afternoon, Pradhan is scheduled to attend Rehabilitation and Periphery Development Advisory Committee (RPDAC) meeting at the Sambalpur RDC office. Legislators and MPs from Sambalpur and Jharsuguda districts, along with senior administrative officials, are expected to participate in the meeting.

The meetings come a day after Pradhan reviewed development-related issues at Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla.

During the review, Pradhan discussed the overall development of VIMSAR, strengthening of its infrastructure and measures to ensure that people receive quality healthcare. District administration officials and senior VIMSAR authorities attended the meeting, along with the DIG of the Northern Range.

Focus On Sambalpur Ring Road
Pradhan also held discussions with officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the state government on issues affecting National Highway-55 in Sambalpur.

The discussions focused on expediting the implementation of the Sambalpur Ring Road and improving transportation infrastructure in the area amid problems caused by heavy rainfall and high vehicular movement.

The MP discussed measures to accelerate work and address the transportation-related difficulties faced in the region.
