for the Centre’s approval of 92 Railway Over Bridge (ROB) projects in Odisha, strengthening railway infrastructure in the state.

In a post on social media platform X, Minister Pradhan
stated that the Ministry of Railways will bear the entire cost of constructing
the 92 ROBs across Odisha. He emphasized that this move will significantly
improve road-rail integration, ensure safer travel, and accelerate connectivity
throughout the state.

“This decision will fast-track Odisha’s foundational
development and make transportation safer and smoother,” Pradhan wrote,
highlighting the strategic importance of the initiative under the Purvoday
vision for Eastern India’s growth.
Boost to Connectivity and Safety
The ROBs are expected to reduce traffic congestion, eliminate level crossings, and enhance safety for commuters. The Centre’s decision to fully fund and execute these projects reflects a strong commitment to infrastructure development in Odisha, especially in semi-urban and rural regions.
