Bhubaneswar, Oct 26: In the 127th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” broadcast, the spotlight was cast on the rich aroma and growing popularity of Koraput Coffee, a unique produce from Odisha’s tribal heartland.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan expressed his
gratitude to the Prime Minister through a post on X, acknowledging the
recognition as a proud moment for Odisha.

Pradhan highlighted that PM Modi’s praise for Koraput Coffee
as “delicious and a matter of pride for Odisha” not only celebrates the product
but also honours the hard work of tribal farmers. He emphasized that this
recognition is a powerful motivation for local cultivators and a step forward
in promoting the “Vocal for Local” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiatives.

✨Reflecting on his own visit to Koraput in July, Union
Minister Pradhan recalled his interactions with coffee garden officials and
farmers, noting the transformative impact of coffee cultivation on the region’s
economy.

He stated that Koraput Coffee is now gaining traction in global markets and evolving into a profitable venture. The Union Education Minister called for collective efforts to enhance production and establish “Brand Koraput” as a global identity.
Additionally, Union Minister Pradhan urged citizens to participate in the upcoming “Run for Unity” on October 31, commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He also echoed PM Modi’s reference to the patriotic essence of “Vande Mataram,” reinforcing the spirit of unity and pride.
This national recognition of Koraput Coffee is not just a tribute
to Odisha’s agricultural excellence but also a catalyst for empowering tribal
communities and boosting rural entrepreneurship.
