Sambalpur, Sep 17: On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday and 25 years of public service, former Union Minister and Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan marked the day with special programmes dedicated to service and devotion.
Pradhan offered prayers and lit lamps at Maa Samalei temple in Sambalpur, seeking blessings for the Prime Minister’s long, healthy, and prosperous life. He emphasised that PM Modi’s journey of continuous service and good governance is a source of inspiration for the nation.
Following the temple rituals, Pradhan inaugurated a mega blood donation camp at Khetrarajpur. He also visited an Anganwadi centre and interacted with various stakeholders in the district.

✨The initiatives were organised under the guiding mantra “Nar Seva Hi Narayan Seva” (Service to humanity is service to God), reflecting the Prime Minister’s philosophy of people-centric governance.
Voluntary organisations and youth groups across Sambalpur joined hands to organise the blood donation drive, making it a community-led effort to honour PM Modi’s commitment to public welfare.
In addition, a month-long campaign titled “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” will be launched from September 17 to October 17. The programme will include lamp-lighting ceremonies at Maa Samaleswari temple, family-level lamp lighting, cleanliness drives, blood donation camps, and awareness activities across Sambalpur district.
Extending his wishes, Pradhan said, “Heartfelt birthday
greetings to our illustrious Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji. I pray to Lord
Jagannath and Maa Samalei for his long, healthy, and disease-free life. May his
glorious journey of national service continue endlessly.”
