In a post on X, Pradhan hailed Joranda as the sacred seat of
Shunyavada philosophy and the worship of Shunyabrahma. He called the Magha Mela
“a Mahakumbh of unity, collective prayer and uninterrupted chanting by revered
Mahima sadhus for the welfare of the world.”

Tracing the origins of the faith, Pradhan recalled that
Mahima Swami first revealed himself in 1826 at Puri’s Jagannath Dham, where he
was known as ‘Dhuliya Gosain’ for his ascetic practice of sleeping on the
ground without using any seat. After 24 years of rigorous meditation in the
forests of Kapilash, he travelled across Odisha from Dhenkanal, spreading the
ideals of Mahima Dharma and sparking a spiritual awakening.
The Minister also highlighted the relevance of Mahima
Gosain’s teachings and the compassionate philosophy of saint poet Bhima Bhoi,
whose immortal lines — “Let my life sink into hell if the world can be
uplifted” — continue to resonate in contemporary society. He urged people to
reaffirm their commitment to collective welfare on this auspicious occasion,
expressing confidence that the selfless ideals of Mahima Dharma would dispel
darkness and ignite the light of peace worldwide.
