Sundargarh, Apr 25: Two miscreants, who allegedly opened fire on the owner of a hotel during a robbery attempt late last night, have been nabbed after an encounter with the police personnel. The incident took place in Bahal village under the jurisdiction of Bisra Police Station in Rourkela.

According to reports, the victim, Gange Oram was busy at his roadside eatery, when around six masked miscreants barged into the hotel and demanded to hand over all the cash after brandishing firearms and knives. Tthe miscreants then opened the drawer, looted money, mobile phones.

Later, they threatened everyone present inside the hotel and fled the scene after firing shots.

Upon receiving information, Bisra Police reached the spot and rescued the hotel owner to Rourkela Government Hospital.

Within four hours of the incident, police swung into action and nabbed two of the miscreants following an encounter. Reportedly, the accused persons have been taken into custody after preliminary treatment.
