Puri Rath Yatra / Devotees Gather for Final Darshan of Holy Trinity at Gundicha Temple; Check Bahuda Yatra Ritual Schedule Here

Puri, Jul 23: Lord Jagannath's stay at the Gundicha Temple is set to conclude as the sibling deities prepare to return to Shree Mandir during the Bahuda Yatra on Friday. Devotees continued to throng the Sharadhabali in Puri on Thursday for the final opportunity to have darshan of the Chaturdhamurati at the Adapa Mandap before their return journey.

Heavy Rush for Final Sandhya Darshan
In view of the massive turnout, devotees will be allowed to have Sandhya Darshan till 6 pm on Thursday. Large crowds have gathered at the Gundicha Temple since morning to witness the deities before the Bahuda Yatra.

The previous night's rituals were delayed, resulting in the Pahuda being completed at around 1:30 am. The doors of the Gundicha Temple reopened at 5 am on Thursday, following which devotees were allowed inside for darshan.

As per the ritual schedule, Mangala Alati was performed at 5:30 am, followed by Abakasha at 6:40 am. Gopala Ballabha and Sakala Dhupa rituals were completed by 10 am.

Early Pahandi Planned for Bahuda Yatra
The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration has made arrangements to conduct the Bahuda Pahandi early on Friday to ensure the return journey proceeds according to schedule.

The return chariot procession is scheduled to begin at 4 pm after the completion of all prescribed rituals.

The schedule for Friday's Bahuda Yatra is as follows:

Mangala Alati: 4 am
Mailam: 4.15 am
Tadapalagi: 4.30 am
Rosha Homa: 4.30 am
Abakasha: 5 am
Surya Puja: 5.15 am
Dwarapala Puja: 5.30 am
Besha Sesha: 5.30 am
Gopala Ballabha and Sakala Dhupa Khechudi: 5.45 am to 6.45 am
Senapata Lagi: 7 am to 11.30 am
Mangalarpana: 11.45 am
Bahuda Pahandi: Noon to 2.30 pm
Besha Sesha: 1 pm to 2.30 pm
Gajapati Maharaja's Rajaniti and Chhera Pahanra: 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm
Charamala Phita and Ghoda Lagiba: 3 pm to 4 pm
Chariot pulling begins: 4 pm

The three chariots are expected to begin their return journey from the Gundicha Temple to the Shree Jagannath Temple after completion of the rituals.
