Puri, Jul 6: A devotee from Pateli village in Jagatsinghpur district was critically injured after reportedly falling from the roof of Radha Ballabh Math in Puri. 

According to reports, the victim, identified as Babaji Behera, was in Puri for the annual Rath yatra festivities. The incident occurred when Behera lost balance due to a fractured leg and fell from the roof of math. Following this, he sustained critical injuries.

Behera was initially rushed to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital for emergency treatment. Later, he was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

Authorities suspect that the fall may have been caused by instability due to a leg injury, though further medical and eyewitness reports are awaited.
