Dense Fog Warning Issued For Several Odisha Districts

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued a yellow warning of dense fog for several districts of Odisha for next three days.

Bhubaneswar, Jan 1: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued a yellow warning of dense fog for several districts of Odisha for next three days.

According the IMD’s latest bulletin, dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Sonepur, Koraput, Bolangir, Boudh, Angul, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur till 8.30 am of Tuesday. The IMD issued a yellow warning for these districts. 

The weathermen also forecast that dense fog is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Cuttack and Khordha from 8.30 am of Tuesday to 8.30 am of Wednesday.

Likewise, a yellow alert of dense fog has been issued for the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal and Kandhamal from 8.30 am of Wednesday to 8.30 am of Thursday.

There will be no large change in minimum temperature (night temperature) in the State during the next five days.  The minimum temperature  is likely to be above normal by 2 to 3 degree Celsius at many places in the State during the next 5 days, the bulletin said.
