Delang (Puri), Apr 21: In a heart-wrenching turn of events, the body of an 11-year-old boy, Ashirbad, who had been missing for six days, was discovered in a neighbour's septic tank in Ratanpur, Delang in puri district.

The discovery was made by police at around 2 AM on Monday, bringing a tragic end to an intense search operation.

The boy had gone missing on the evening of April 15, leaving his parents devastated and desperate for answers.

Despite extensive efforts by the family and local authorities, no trace of the child was found until Sunday night. Acting on a tip-off, the police intensified their search, leading to the grim discovery.

Various CCTV cameras in Delang Bazar have been examined. Additionally, suspicions in different directions led the fire brigade to search nearby ponds.

Ultimately, Ashirbad's body was recovered from a septic tank. Local social workers have expressed their opinion that Bapi Sahu from the village committed this heinous act.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, raising concerns about child safety and the need for vigilance. The government had earlier directed a thorough investigation into the case, and efforts are now underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the boy's death.
