Nabarangpur, Mar 4: A highly decomposed body of man and his wife were found lying inside their house at Amapara village in Kaudola panchayat under Raighar block in Nabarangpur district.

The deceased persons have been identified as Durjana Gand (40) and his wife Bija Gand (35).

According to reports, the matter came to light after locals noticed foul smell coming from their house. They immediately alerted the matter to police. 

On being informed, police reached the spot and seized the body.

While the exact cause behind the death of the couple is yet to be ascertained, villagers suspects it to be a case of murder.

Police have registered a case and launched a probe into the matter.

The police said that the investigation will be expedited after the arrival of the scientific team.
