Day Temp Set To Rise Across Odisha, IMD Issues Yellow Alert

Bhubaneswar, Mar 27: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre has issued a yellow warning for a heatwave across several districts of the State. The department has said that the temperature may reach 42 degree Celsius (42°C).
According to weather agency, the maximum (day) temperature is expected to rise by 2 to 4°C over the next three days, leading to hotter days ahead.
Similarly, the minimum (night) temperature is likely to remain steady for the next 24 hours. However, it may rise by 2-3 degree Celsius in the coming days.
Besides, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for the districts of Sonepur, Balangir, Boudh, Kalahandi and Sambalpur.
On Wednesday, Jharsuguda district recorded the highest temperature at 39.5 degree Celsius.
People are advised to take precautions while stepping out by carrying a water bottle and wet clothes, wearing light-colored clothing, and using an umbrella.
