Daringbadi, Dec 22: A person lost his life, while two others sustained critical injuries after two bikes collided head on late Saturday night. The tragic incident took place on NH 59 near Dabulmaha village in Kandhamal district.

The deceased has been identified as Jakesh Pradhan, while the injured persons have been identified as Biswajit Pradhan and Debasis Diggal.

As per the report, Debasis was coming from Baliguda and heading to Sorada via Daringbadi. Jakesh and Biswajit, on the other hand, were coming from Sulumaha village and they were on their way to Simanbadi.

However their journeys turned tragic when their bikes collided head on at a turning near Dabulmaha village. Jakesh reportedly died on the spot.

Biswajit and Debasis were rushed to the Community Health Centre in Daringbadi by the bypassers and closeby locals. After the primary treatment, the duo were shifted to MKCG Medical College And Hospital, Berhampur.

After getting the report, Daringbadi police station IIC Ashok Kumar Hansdah, ASI Jayant Kumar Sethi and another ASI Arjun Sabar arrived at the spot and recovered the body of the deceased. Police have started an investigation in this connection.
