DA Case: Assets Worth Crores Unearthed In Remuna Tehsildar's Possession

Bhubaneswar, Feb 11: Odisha Vigilance detected assets worth crores of rupees, including three high-value flats, two plots, 917 gms of gold so far in the names of Balasore district's Remuna Tehsildar Bidyadhar Pati and his family members.
The cost of the two flats in Bhubaneswar is estimated to be over Rs 2.5 crore.
Besides, verification is being done for postal deposits of Rs 1 crore and cash transactions of Rs 20 lakhs made through postal accounts.
Following movable and immovable assets worth crores have been unearthed so far.
1) 3-BHK Executive Flat No.B-40406 at Assotech Pride, Rudrapur, Bhubaneswar worth approx Rs.1.5 Crore
2) 3-BHK Flat vide No.C-604 at Tamarind Terraces, Sailashree Vihar, Bhubaneswar worth approx Rs.1 Crore.
3) 3-BHK flat vide No.404, 4th floor, B-Block at Supratik Life Style, Kuruda, Balasore
4) 2 nos. of plots in Bhubaneswar & Balasore. One plot of area 2000 Sqft. at Balianta, Bhubaneswar & another plot at Samal, Balasore. The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above flat/plots are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.
5) Gold jewellery weighing 917 gms of Pati.

✨6) Suspected Postal deposits of Rs.1 crore. Cash transactions around Rs.20 lakhs in Postal accounts suspected, and are under verification.
7) Rs.22 lakh bank deposits. Other deposits and investments are being ascertained.
8) 1 four-wheeler (Hyundai i-20) & 2 two-wheelers.
Searches were conducted at the following 7 places in Bhubaneswar and Balasore:
1) Flat No. C-604 at Tamarin Terraces, Sailashree Vihar, Bhubaneswar.
2) Flat No. B40406 (3BHK Executive) at Asotech Pride, Rudrapur, Bhubaneswar.
3) Double storeyed building located at Kuruda, PS-Sadar, Dist-Balasore.
4) Paternal house of Pati at Ainri, PS-Soro, Dist-Balasore.
5) Place of stay of Sri Bidyadhar Pati at Balasore.
6) House of relative of Sri Bidyadhar Pati located at Plot No.625 Mars Villa, HN-7, Panchasakha Nagar, Dumduma, Bhubaneswar.
7) Office chamber of Bidyadhar Pati
Seven teams of Odisha Vigilance comprising 6 DSsP, 3 Inspectors, 10 ASIs, and other supporting staff conducted the search on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
