Bhubaneswar, Jun 10: Several districts of Odisha will witness rain and thunderstorm activities till June 13, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
According to IMD's latest update, a cyclonic circulation has formed over the northwestern Bay of Bengal (BoB) and adjoining northern coastal Odisha, which is expected to influence the weather conditions significantly over the coming days. Due to the impact of this system, districts including Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, and Angul are likely to experience moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds at one or two locations on Tuesday.
An orange alert has also been issued for these districts.
Meanwhile, authorities have urged residents to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
