Bhubaneswar, Sep 12: In a major breakthrough, Bhubaneswar Cyber Police arrested a notorious cyber fraudster, Mohammed Sadab, from Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly duping multiple individuals in Odisha of over ₹1 crore.
Operating from a makeshift office inside his home, Sadab ran a sophisticated scam by sending malicious links to unsuspecting victims, tricking them into transferring large sums of money.
The arrest followed a series of complaints from Bhubaneswar residents who reported financial losses after clicking on suspicious links. Acting on digital intelligence and surveillance, the cybercrime unit tracked Sadab’s operations to Bijnor and conducted a swift raid, apprehending him while he was actively running his fraudulent network.
