Cyber Fraudsters Target New Odisha CM, Create Fake 'X' In His Name

Bhubaneswar, June 13: A day after taking oath as the Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi has become the target of cyber fraudsters as a fake 'X' (formerly Twitter) account of the State's new leader surfaced on social media platforms.
The Information & Public Relations Department, in its official X account, shared both the real and fake X accounts of the Chief Minister on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Mohan Charan Majhi created history after he was sworn in as the first BJP Chief Minister of Odisha, ending the 24-year-old stint of the BJD.
Odisha Governor Raghubar Das administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mohan Majhi and his Council of Ministers during a grand event at the Janata Maidan here, which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and many other Central Ministers, including Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Dharmendra Pradhan and party President J.P. Nadda, among other dignitaries.

✨Six-time MLA from Patnagarh, Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, and first-time MLA from Nimapara, Pravati Parida, took oath as Deputy Chief Ministers.
The Governor also administered oaths to eight Cabinet Ministers and five state ministers with independent charge.
The saffron party stormed to power in Odisha by securing 78 seats in the 147-member Assembly while Patnaik-led BJD grabbed 51 seats, Congress (14), CPI(M) won in one seat while Independents got three seats.
