Cuttack, Feb 22: Passengers had a close shave today as a Mo Bus in which they were travelling, was filled with smoke all of a sudden on Cuttack outskirts.

The passengers got baffled and jumped out of the bus through windows. Women and small children were rescued through windows. The incident took place in the Jagatpur area of Cuttack district.

According to the information, smoke suddenly erupted from the 'Mo Bus' near Birupa Barrage under the Jagatpur Police Station on Saturday afternoon. Before anyone could understand, smoke engulfed the bus and its surroundings, choking visibility. None of the two doors of the bus were open at the time.

As a result, some passengers jumped out of the bus with great difficulty. The woman and were thrown out of the window.

The bus was coming from Choudwar to Cuttack. Passengers heard a sound first and then the bus was filled with smoke.

While the reason for the smoke is not known, no one has been reported injured in the incident.
