Cuttack, Jul 31: In a major crackdown on traffic and transport violations, the Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Cuttack has imposed a staggering fine of ₹10,19,756 on a private bus bearing registration number OD 05 AV 5465.
The penalty was levied for multiple regulatory breaches, including non-payment of taxes, lack of valid permits, and expired documents.
According to RTO officials, the breakdown of the fine includes:
- Fitness Certificate Violation: ₹5,000
- Pollution Control Violation: ₹10,000
- Permit Violation: ₹10,000
- Insurance Violation: ₹20,000
- Unpaid Road Tax: ₹3,07,664
