Cuttack, Jul 15: President Droupadi Murmu, during her visit to Cuttack, laid the foundation stone for a major redevelopment initiative at Ravenshaw Girls’ High School, a historic institution known for its contribution to women’s education in Odisha.
The ₹87 crore project is part of the STAR (State Transformation in Action for Results) initiative aimed at modernizing educational infrastructure across the state.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Governor Haribabu Kambhampati, and School & Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond.
Speaking at the event, President Murmu emphasized the importance of empowering girls through quality education and praised the school’s legacy in shaping generations of women leaders.
