Cuttack, Nov 2: Athagarh forest personnel have arrested a man in connection with the electrocution of an elephant in the Kundamundia jungle recently.  

The arrested accused has been identified as Bimbadhar Sahoo under Banki police station limits in Cuttack district. 

According to an allegation, the male elephant (Tusker) died after coming in contact with an electric-connected loop reportedly laid by Bimbadhar. He had laid the trap to nab wild boar.  

While the accused had been on the run since the incident, forest personnel arrested him from Madhabpur village under Khuntuni police station limits following a frantic search.
