Cuttack, Dec 7: The Kriyanusthana Committee has called a shut down for 12 hours demanding district status for Athagarh. The committee members had been protesting in front of the sub-collector's office for the past one month.

Despite this, the administration did not take any necessary step, forcing the members for calling a 12-hour strike.
