Balasore, Jan 11: The Balasore district administration imposed a curfew in parts of Balasore town to undertake an eviction drive on Saturday.
The curfew, imposed from Arada Bazaar to Vegetable Market area will remain enforceable till 10 pm on January 12.
According to the information, the district administration undertook an eviction drive to free lands belonging to the Railways this morning. People belonging to minor communities have roached upon the lands for many days now. Despite repeated notices by the district administration, the encroachers could not move from the land.

✨Serving a final notice on the encroachers, the district administration had urged them to move away by January 10. Apprehending protest and tension, the administration imposed a curfew and undertook the eviction drive
The eviction process is expected to continue till tomorrow.
