Covid On A Rise: Odisha Reports Seven New Cases, Active Tally Surges To 30

Bhubaneswar, June 6: At least seven fresh cases of COVID-19 was detected across Odisha in the next 24 hours, confirmed the State Health Department.
With the new cases, the total number of active cases in the state rose to 30.
According to reports, Khordha district continues to be the most affected, with 16 active cases, followed by Cuttack, with nine positive cases. Meanwhile, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, and Balasore have each reported one case each.
On the other hand, Director of Public Health, Dr. Nilakantha Mishra, has informed that new guidelines may be issued soon if needed. As of now there is no need of panic, said the Minister.
Following the surge in cases, Health officials have urged citizens to remain alert and follow basic precautions like hygiene, masking in crowded places, and early testing in case of symptoms.
