Ganjam, Mar 26: A man and his wife were killed while their three-year-old daughter suffered minor injuries after the motorcycle they were travelling in collided with an auto-rickshaw near Harijan Sahi at Budhamba village under Kabisuryanagar police limits in Ganjam district.

The victim, Kahnu Barik along with his wife Swapna Barik and three-year-old daughter, who hails from Salabana village, were heading towards Budhamba. Meanwhile, their two-wheeler dashed into an auto-rickshaw. The impact of the accident was so intense that the husband-wife duo died on the spot while their three-year-old daughter fortunately escaped with minor wounds.

On being informed, police reached the spot and launched a probe into the incident.

Kahnu and Swapna were married eight years ago and had two daughters.
