Koraput, Dec 28: In a tragic mishap, five people went missing after a boat, in which they were crossing the river, sank in the Patali River at Nandapur Tansing in Koraput district today.
According to the information, all five people were on the way to their relative's house in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh when they had to cross the Patali River. They had to board a country boat to cross the river. But as the ill-luck would have it, the boat capsized mid-river and all the passengers went missing.
On being informed, the Koraput ODRAF Team rushed to the spot and started a rescue operation. A team of Padua police was also pressed into the rescue operation. Nandapur Tehsildar was present.
