Koraput, Aug 23: A tragic incident unfolded at the picturesque Duduma Waterfall when a YouTube vlogger, Sagar Tudu from Berhampur, reportedly drowned during a drone-assisted video shoot. He was accompanied by fellow content creator Abhijit Behera from Cuttack.
The duo had ventured to the scenic location to capture aerial footage of the 550-foot-high waterfall. However, during the shoot, the gates of the Machkund Dam were opened, causing a sudden surge in water levels. As tourists began to flee the rising waters, Abhijit managed to escape, but Sagar was swept away by the powerful current.
Rescue teams have been deployed, but as of now, he remains missing. The forceful stream and treacherous terrain have made search operations challenging.
