Bhubaneswar, May 19: The Commissionerate Police will soon initiate a drive to identify Bangladesh residents staying in the state capital illegally.

To expedite the operation, Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena has notified all police stations, urging officers to gather relevant data.

During a meeting held last evening, senior police officials discussed the rising concerns over unauthorized foreign settlers.

Authorities have directed each police station to compile information on illegal immigrants, particularly those from Bangladesh.

The focus will be on tracking their entry routes into Bhubaneswar, assessing their activities, and verifying their documents.
Legal action will be enforced against individuals unable to provide valid identification or residence permits.

The investigation aims to ensure compliance with immigration regulations, maintaining security and order in the city.
